Flights to Laos

Laos lies in the heart of South-East Asia. Getting there is easy, even though there are currently no long-haul flights to/from Laos. However, Laos is very well connected by international flights to/from several cities in South-East Asia as well as East Asia.

Bangkok

The capital of Thailand is one of the main gateways into South-East Asia. More than 100 airlines serve Bangkok. Please note that there are two airports in Bangkok, Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK). Lao Airlines operates from Suvarnabhumi. We offer two daily flights from Bangkok to Vientiane. We also offer flights from Bangkok to Savannakhet (ZVK) in Southern Laos and sometimes from Bangkok to Luang Prabang (LPQ) in Northern Laos.

Seoul

Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is also a good gateway to travel to Laos, especially if you are coming from East Asia (e.g. Japan) or from North America. Lao Airlines offers daily flights from Seoul’s Incheon Airport (ICN) to Vientiane. Together with our interline partners we can also get you all the way from America to Laos via Seoul. Check our the list of our partner airlines.

Hanoi

Lao Airlines operates daily flights from Hanoi to Vientiane and also offers regular flights from Hanoi to Luang Prabang.

Apart from the main gateways mentioned above, you can also fly with Lao Airlines to Laos from Chiang Mai (Thailand), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Siem Reap (Cambodia), Danang* (Vietnam), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Kunming (China) and Guangzhou (China).

E-Ticket & PNR

After the passenger has made a booking on laoairlines.com or on the Lao Airlines mobile app and successfully completed the payment process, a confirmation email will be sent which contains important information about the booking, including the PNR (passenger name record) and the e-ticket number(s). Lao Airlines recommends that the passenger has this information available for check-in and immigration/security purposes (incl. on domestic flights in Laos).

When you book via a travel agency, please ensure you also receive the PNR and e-ticket information after you have completed the payment.

Please use the PNR (a six digit alpha-number code) or e-ticket number to check-in online.

Meals

On most Lao Airlines flights domestically and internationally, we serve complimentary snacks or meals, including drinks. We work together with reliable catering providers such as the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Vientiane.

Special Meals

Vegetarian meals are available upon request. Please give us advanced notice if a vegetarian meal is required. It is recommended that passengers make their request at least 48 hours prior to flight departure. Please kindly send your request to vtessqv@laoairlines.com.

We will be glad to accommodate your request.
